Getting pregnant is not always straightforward. Whether you are experiencing difficulties conceiving, already know you need assistance, or are just beginning your fertility journey, you will want to learn everything you can about your fertility.
Jenny Dobbs fertility support provides independent advice to help you understand your specific needs and the available treatment options. My goal is to save you time, money, and unnecessary worry so you can focus on your well-being and give yourself the best possible chance of having a baby.
About Me
Hello, I am Jenny Dobbs. I have been working in the fertility industry, both in the UK and internationally, for more than 30 years.
As a qualified nurse, clinical embryologist, and fertility coach, I have gained valuable experience in all areas of infertility.
Having spent many years working as CEO and HFEA person responsible of several UK clinics I have gained a broad knowledge of all aspects of fertility management and regulation. Additionally, I have over 10 years experience working with leading Spanish clinics, to facilitate patients who need to travel overseas for fertility treatment, providing advice and support to help navigate the challenges of travelling abroad for treatment.
Now, I want to channel my knowledge and experience into providing independent, expert advice to ensure that patients and families, who are faced with fertility challenges, fully understand all options available to them.
Armed with knowledge, empathy and understanding, I can provide you with the advice and support you need on your family building journey.
I look foward to meeting you.
How can I help?
If you are struggling to have a baby or have been told that you need fertility treatment in order to conceive you may have a lot of questions such as:
- When is the right time to start getting fertility tests?
- How will I know if I need treatment?
- Which treatment option is best for me?
- How much is treatment likely to cost?
- What steps can I take before and during treatment to increase my chances of success?
Explanation
I can provide you with a clear explanation of the treatment process to ensure that you fully understand what is involved and that you are completely aware of what your treatment options are.
Guidance
Ensuring that you fully understand everything about your specific needs and/or proposed treatment plan – allowing you to focus on your physical and mental wellbeing at a time when you want to be in your best possible state of health.
Independence
I am not linked to any clinic therefore should you need the help of a fertility clinic I can provide Independent advice and direct you towards the best clinic to suit your specific needs. I can also help you understand clinic processes and success rates.
Understanding
I can help you understand what treatment can be funded by NHS and /or how your treatment can be paid for if private treatment is the necessary or preferred option.
Advice
I can offer advice on what measures can be taken before and during treatment to give you the best chance of achieving a pregnancy. I can also advise on next steps to take should treatment be unsuccessful.
Support
I can provide support and advice throughout your treatment cycle from the initial consultation, during treatment and to pregnancy test.
I can also help to address any doubts or questions along the way.
There are many reasons why you might be having problems trying to conceive a baby, some obvious and some not so obvious, depending on your individual circumstances. The information and advice available can, at times, be overwhelming and confusing.
Broadly speaking, approximately 30% of fertility issues are caused by female factors, approximately 30% are caused by male factors, 20% combined male and female factors and 20% is unexplained. For both women and men, however, lifestyle factors such as smoking, excessive alcohol intake and obesity have been associated with higher chances of fertility issues.
Whatever your circumstances, you will want to find out all you can about your fertility and what is help is available should you need it. There are many treatment options available, some simple and some designed to help with more complex fertility cases.
